Vegas Baby!

Taking my own picture with the camera phone (my camera is still being fixed - it's been over a month!) We're on Fremont Street in Las Vegas... Josh, Jonny and Mike in the background.

We drove to Vegas on Saturday afternoon and stayed for the night and drove back home on Sunday afternoon...

The day before when we drove past here is was all sand and dirt... we hit a little bit of rain on the way home and now it looks like a lake...

There was an accident on the way home that shut down the highway for about an hour and backed up traffic for miles... Mike walked up to the overpass and took a photo of me and the traffic (above - I'm wearing the white shirt and tan shorts in the lower left) and I stayed down below and took the photo of him (below - Mike is on the overpass in the black shirt)

Fortunately we came to a stop under the bridge for a couple reasons... a little bit of shade from the sun and then for shelter from the rain that came along. The rain was nice 'cuz it cooled things down. It wasn't too hot though - the day before it was 106 degrees when we passed through Baker, CA (home to the world's largest thermometer) but it was much cooler today...
